Day 19

Beijing Biddies – Fame & Fortune for the Bus Conductor

Kate Sleath of Beijing Biddies with another car challenge 2First thing in the morning BB2 taped up the Laser lights. ( photo already sent) Interesting morning in Novosobirsk travelling on a trolley bus in to the centre. Managed to get us all a free ride. BB1 told the conductor he was going to be famous and in a film!! Decided to get a taxi back to the hotel. We got the taxi driver who was very friendly to take us to see Lenin’s statue. We were staying in a lovely hotel which was just outside the city. Great value at £25pp.Beijing Biddies visit Lenin's Statue Novosibirsk

Had a lovely dinner the night before in the hotel. One of those rare times for a proper dinner!

Easy drive to Barnaul but hit the rush hour traffic. Yet another interesting place to put one’s head down for the night. Hotel was very well secured with locked gates with push button entry, surrounded by fencing and 2 guard dogs by the car park.

We understood that the restaurant opened at 8pm but when we came downstairs having got up 4 flights of very steep steps to our room, it was the opposite story. The cook goes home at 8pm. Consequently the Beijing Biddies had to have a Russian take away! Very interesting mix of Sushi and dried chicken wings and ribs. This we washed down with some vodka

If you would like to donate any amount (remember every £1 makes a difference) please go to Virgin Money Giving or Text BBID60 + £amount to 70070
