Suzdal in Russia Beijing Biddies on charity challengeDay 10. After the drive from Moscow to Suzdal, it was great to be able to wander through the town of Suzdal and look at all the tiny stalls selling local produce and crafts. Dinner was taken at the Restaurant Trapeznaya in the kremlin. This restaurant serves typical Russian food.

Day 11 This was the day for us to leave Suzdal which is a wonderful old Russian town situated in the Golden Ring. The Golden Ring is textbook Russia of onion shaped domes, kremlins and gingerbread cottages with cherry orchards.  From Suzdal to Kazan was a 9 hour drive covering 1000 Kms on roads that varied from good to very bad. Some we’re being repaired, others had potholes and some had new Tarmac. Beijing Biddies crossing Russia in 150K charity challengeA very high level of mental alertness is required to deal with crazy drivers who take no notice of any driving restrictions. No overtaking signs mean nothing. As we needed to keep going, our lunch on route was made up of Cheddar minis, Kit Kats, bananas, grapes and wine gums! Arrived to Kazan at 8.45pm.

It means alot to us to hear from you. If you have a moment to leave a comment on here or Facebook, please do! BB1 and BB2
